The Pearl River County Historical Society welcomes you to our online home. We are dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich history and heritage of Pearl River County. Historical Museum
Beginning Tuesday July 29, 2025, the Museum will be open on Tuesday and Thursday morning from 9 am until 12 noon, and on Thursday afternoon from 2 pm until 4:30 pm.
Call or text Jerry at 601 590-3268 to tour the museum or volunteer your help.
Pictured above is the wrought iron gate from the E. F. Tate home on North Main St. The home burned to the ground the night of May 4, 1968, apparently the work of vagrants or vandals.

Historical Society Meetings
Meeting Location
Unless otherwise specified, all Historical Society meetings are held in the Holland Room at Crosby Memorial Library on Goodyear Blvd.
Meeting Schedule
- Potluck luncheon begins at 11:30.
- Business meeting starts at 11:45.
- Program commences at 12:00.
Frequency
Historical Society meetings take place on the second Wednesday of each month.
