Reference Materials

     All of our reference materials are available to the public for research.

     We have several tables to work on, a coffee maker, and a copy machine. WI-FI is currently unavailable except with a "Personal Hotspot" using you IPhone.

     A number of maps are available including a preserved copy of 1737 CARTE DE LA LOUISIANE, Par Le St. D'Anville, Dressee en Mai 1737, Publiee en 1732.

     We have a few Indian Artifacts, plus an extensive photo collection in the Picayune Item Photo Collection. Man of the photos are contained in the Subject vertical file.

 

Historical Museum:

      Hundreds of titles, school textbooks dating back to the 1890s and a few original newspapers dating back to the early 1900s.

     Containing documents about buildings, businesses, historic events, etc. including some related photos.

  • Pearl River County Cemeteries 

     The cemetery page contains a list of cemeteries and graveyards known to us in Pearl River County, including related cemeteries in Hancock and Marion Counties. (This section is still under construction.)
