Pearl River County Historical Society Museum Monthly History Discussion

Beginning on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, the Pearl River County Historical Society Museum will launch a monthly discussion centered around a local history topic. In addition to the discussion, each meeting will include help with museum organization—referred to locally as “work”—and a guided tour of the museum.

Meeting Schedule and Location

The monthly meetings will convene on the third Tuesday of each month at the Pearl River County Historical Society Museum, located on the third floor of Picayune City Hall.

Members and guests are encouraged to attend this special meeting to engage with the ongoing initiatives of the Pearl River Historical Society Museum. Your participation is valuable as we work together to preserve and celebrate the heritage of Pearl River County and its neighboring communities.

Security Guidelines for Meeting Attendance

For security reasons, all participants are requested to gather either by the fountain or inside the lobby of City Hall. Once assembled, attendees will proceed together as a group to the third floor for the meeting.

During the gathering, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy a snack lunch, listen to a brief presentation, participate in a discussion of a local history topic and take part in museum related tasks. And, of course, tour the museum.
